During our past tour, which was at total success and a kick-ass time, we received a bunch of press including interviews with the band and reviews of our new album, Match Made In Hell. Some good, one bad, and all awesome. My favorite is the guy who says the album should "be covered in shit, and then set on fire.". So sports fans, here they are: Left of the Dial Magazine All Music Daily Vanguard Metro Times Colorado Springs Independent Missoula Independent Movement Music We hope you enjoy them as much as us. We will be posting some podcasts next week of shows from our recent tour. We managed to get the majority of the tour on tape and can't wait to share with you all. As far as the summer is concerned(that's right people it's almost freakin' May), we will be announcing dates soon for the coming months. -Sutton www.wagonmusic.com www.myspace.com/shagginwagon The Wagon LLC

Tuesday, November 13th "It's good to be home...kinda..." So this time time last week I was at the beginning of a three day trek in the jungles of Northern Thailand. It was incredible. I was very picky in finding the right trek because there are SO many companies in Chaing Mai that provide treks. I am talkin' like the old lady on the corner, the drunk guy asleep on the sidewalk, and a 4 year old can all hook you up with a trek. I wanted to find one that was hopefully not too touristy and with not to many people. Well I found a company called "Pooh Eco-trekking" that was THE company to go with if you want to do the hardcore "no elephants and no rafting" tour that really emerses you in to the tribes and their way of life. I was sold...until he quoted the price. It was three times as much as anything else. He said "It is more money than most, but worth it." I took a brochure and said I would most likely come back. I want to go harecore and all but this was my first time up here and still kinda want to ride an elephant and shit. Well after being refered to a company at a hotel called B.M.P.(Backpacker Meeting Place), I never went back to Pooh because this place at B.M.P. seemed like a good one. I showed the Pooh flyer to the guy I booked with and he says he used to work for them, and he said it was again "Exspensive, but worth it.". Next time I will do the Eco-trek with Pooh. The trek I did...was fantastic. The first day we hiked about 10 miles to a village of the Karen Tribe. A couple stops along the way included a waterfall, and we were finally there. There were two groups totaling 15 people on the trek which was a lot I think, but once we reached the village we we broken back in two. Dinner at the village was top notch, followed by fireside beverages and stories. The stars were beautiful and we all sleeped like babies. My group was an older couple from Spain(he is actually Italian and she is actually Danish) a younger couple from Austria(he actually has been in Canada from over 10 years) and a pair of sisters from Germany. The Next day we hike to the village of one of our guides, Roberto. The other two guides were Joshua and Jo-Jo. I know what you are thinking, what the hell kinda of names are these for people from the jungle villages of Thailand? Well we found out there real names and the names they were using were for tourist reasons. It made sense. After another great meal it was of to another waterfall where we were to camp that night. Well we were to be separated again but everyone agreed after dinner at our respected camps, we would all get together to make the last night of the trek a great one. Swimming at the waterfall and ANOTHER great meal, this trek was blowing me away! After dinner we started to do riddles and jokes and take turns sing songs from each of our own countries around the fire. I represented the U.S. by sing an upbeat version of "Amazing Grace". Good choice I thought. After a little while I crossed the river to the other camp with my bottle of whiskey to stir things up and see what was happening. The other group consisted of a couple from Australia, a couple from Holland, two canadian buddies and two irish buddies. Everyone was between the ages of 22-27. We started to play "Buzz", which most everyone new. If you don't know the game ask a friend, this email is to long to take the time to explain it to you, and I don't have the time hold your hand. SO! "Buzz" was a big hit. Soon after both groups managed to get together for the rest of the night and everyone had a blast. The next day we hiked to a place for bamboo rafting. Great. Tons of people throwing each other off the rafts and a nice cliff jump along the way. Then we went to another place to ride Elephants. Again, great. I would like to note that this last day of the three would the only time we ran into any other tourists. So that made me happy about the trek. We all agreed to meet for dinner and drinks when we all got back to Chiang Mai. So over all, Fantastic. The day before I went on the Trek, I found a tiny part of Chiang Mai that had all these Reggae bars with live bands set-ups. So, I knew where I was heading back to for my night out before the trek. The first bar I went to I meet two girls from the U.K. and a girl from Chicago. They all had been living in Chiang Mai for years and looked like they were never going to leave. Amy, the girl from Chicago, did jewelery and ran a bar around the corner with her Thai boyfriend, Mana. The place is called "Cafe Del Sol". We all had a blast together and I told Amy I would come to her bar when I got back from the trek. I show up to Cafe Del Sol on Thursday night with 13 people and said to Amy," I thought I would bring you a little business...". A couple of people in the trek group had mentioned they had heard about all these reggae bars, and want to check them out. So I became a guide that night and led all of us to a great dinner and a great part of town to party together. The next night toward the end I started to play this guitar someone had at a table next me on the patio at Cafe Del Sol. After a few songs Amy asked me I would perform the next night at Cafe Del Sol. Amy and Mana would provide everything. Sound system, Guitar, and drinks. It was great. Most the group from the trek came to my show the next night, as well as a blast from the past. Matt "Axl" Foley!!! That's right I got a hold of Matt and told him to meet me in Chiang Mai for my last night in the north. It was great to catch up with Matty up and share stories from what we had both been doing the past couple of months. So here was Matty, the trek group, Amy and Mana and few other randoms at Cafe Del Sol. Killer audience!!! I played a mix of Wagon songs and covers, more songs than I can remember including, "Don't Let Me Down", "Harvest Moon", and Zep's "Rock and Roll" that had everyone singing along. The night continued on to the "Clubbing" to the wee hours, as it usually does on night like this one. I wake the next day to catch a flight to Bangkok from my last night in Southeast Asia. I get there, check in and pass out. I get up and called my new/old friend Ann to let her know I was back for one last night of craziness. We agree to meet at the Blues Bar, where I jammed with the band at the beginning of my trip. I got there and ran into the same band members from before including the Beautiful and incredible singing Georgia. the owner/guitarist, Pong, asked me if I would like to play with them again and I said "Of course". I was called up toward the end and ready for it. I looked to Georgia to pick the song we would do. I played the first lick of "Johnny B. Goode". She said she didn't know it and quickly moved the mic in front of me. I keep saying I did want to sing, but with a smile she just said "no,no,no" and ran away leaving me to front the band. So we busted into "Johnny B. Goode", followed by "Born Under a Bad Sign, and ended with "Rock n Roll". Good...times. After that Ann, her friend and myself went to Saxaphone Pub follow by some great local late night dining. The band at Saxaphone Pub did the best cover of "Bohemian Raphsody",next to the Flaming Lips,...I had ever heard. So yesterday Ann took me on a free guided tour of the Grand Palace(Amazing!), lunch, and then it was time to go to the airport. I arrived in San Diego last night at 10:30pm after the official "longest day of my life". It was something like a 35 hour Monday. Awesome. So it's good to be home. But after a trip like that, with an ending like that, It's tough to be stoke about getting back to "reality". -S Monday, November 5th "Where...do I begin..." So last time I left you people off I was on my way to see some Thai boxing in Koh Samui...awesome. After a few fights I started talking to this group from Barcelona and one of the guys and I decided to start laying money down on each fight. Well It end up being the second to last fight and it was a Swedish guy of african desent(that's PC enough, itsn't it?...better than black guy from sweeden, right? Good, I though so.) versus a Thai guy of Siamese desent(same same). Well the Spaniard let me choose which fighter I wanted to bet on and I went with the Thai guy. You know, local, bigger cheering section...seemed like a good idea at the time. I lost. The Swedish guy kicked the Thai guys ass. He was clearly in better shape and I hoped that wouldn't be the deciding factor, but I am pretty sure it was. The fat bastard look like he was training to eat the most Mcdonald's, and not training to win the most fights. The guy I was betting against even said it once we both realized the fight was going his way, he said "It looks like your guy has been eating too many Big Mac's!", I said "Yes, yes he does." Great time. Even the "Superboy" fights were great where the kids were like 12 or something and about 83lbs. Later that night I ended up have drinks with the people who work the restaurant on the beach at resort where I was staying. I closed down the place with two locals. "Famous" Charlie and Cook or Cuk, who mentioned he played guitar. Well I went to my room and got my sweet sweet Oliver guitar "(I got bad news coming here in a second, just keep reading), and he and I traded off the guitar. He played Thai songs mostly ,which was great, but he could also play some classic shit like "Wonderful Tonight" by Clapton and "Dream" by the Everly Brothers. He was modest and a killer singer/musician. After a little while, a big group of people at the resort next to us started screaming that we should join them. The DJ at this place like it so much that he turned off his music and let me and Cuk give everyone a show. One of the westerners at the group from Ireland played guitar as well and it got even better. I mean they were tipping us and everything. O.K.!....on to the bad news. Bangkok Airways destroyed my guitar. I have had that baby attached to me everywhere I have been(except for the time I left it on the bus in Viet Nam and realized it soon enough to get it back). Every bus, every boat and every plane it has been by my side. It was in a soft case, so one has to be careful. This was the first airline that told me I could not bring it on the plane. I didn't have to check it in...but when I got to the plane they would take it from me and put it "in the back". It was a small plane so I realized it wouldn't fit in the overhead. I forget about and enjoy the flight. I get off the plane and ask for my axe and they point to the other side of the plane. I walk over and ther it is with all the other luggage...looking kind of...funny. I pick it up from the neck and the body just start to wabbling back and forth. Son of a bitch!!! Well I made it clear that they had killed my baby, and they took me in and had me fill out the proper forms. The good news I got the money back that I had paid for the guitar the bad news is THEY MURDERED MY BEST FUCKING FRIEND!!! It's the principle and the sentimental value that counts, not the money. SO! I landed in Phuket with a fallin' soldier, but I was about to embark on the best time of my life since Christmas in the 1st grade. Phuket rules. It is touristy and exspensive(relatively speaking), but the two of the biggest reasons why I had a blast are the Dambreville Family and my new compadres Jon Nutt and all of his buddies. First off the Fam Damily. Xavier, Cat, and Lea. Cat is the sister of my old boss Chada from Dara Thai retaurant in Flagstaff, AZ. Chada and I have kept in contact over the years, and when I told her I was finally going to Thailand, she told me to visit her sister and her family. I stayed with them(when I wasn't crashing at a guesthouse after a crazy night with Jon and the boys)at the great house in a gated community called "Land and House" in Chalong(one of the many parts of Phuket island). Xaiver is frenchman who is currently working on being on "permanant vacation" with his wife Cat while raising the unforgettable Lea. She is 8 years old and will run you over with sassiness and charm. Great kid. Oh and she has been learning guitar. So even though I did not have a chance to teah her anything, I was able to play for her, Xavier and Cat. Two days later they many neighbors over for a BBQ and I played for the whole party. I had a great audience of kids between the ages of 11/2 to 8. The BBQ was great. we had squid kabobs, liver kabobs, noodle soup...awesome. They also took me out to many great dinners at many great restuarants as well. They were excellent hosts. So on to Mr. Jon Nutt. He is a Muay Thai fighting real estate mogul who part-times as a bounty hunter. When his work day is done, he moonlights as a lead singer for several rock bands in the Kata/Karon Beach area. He also enjoys fine wine and long walks on the beach...class ladies, shear class. I was connected to him from our mutual friend Alexa Mcdonald. I have know Lex for 6 years now. We were roomates in 2002 and have been tight ever since. Jon has know Lex since freakin' kindergarden. So after riding around checking out the sights on the moto I rented for the week, I got a hold of Jon and he gave me the tour of his place, the place he is currently building which is unreal(real estate mogul, remember?), the Gym in the forest where he trains for fights, and then when went to the driving range. Thats right people, the driving range. 50 balls, 50 baht. Great deal. So the best is yet to come. He sings in bands, right. Not only rock songs but Thai songs. He has been here for a few years, so you would think a person would pick up thai. No, this son of a bitch didn't just pick up thai, he is on stage singing...in Thai! Like Jesus with big ol' angel wings and I am in the front row, hammered drunk!!! So He knows I play music and ask me if I can do Johnny B. Goode. We rocked it. I was so f'n stoked to jamming on stage again with a band and a screaming guitar. So now that Jon knew I could shred, the next day we threw a couple of tunes around, and put them in our "back pocket" for the next time we went out. Mind you Jon knows EVERYBODY, and everybody knows Jon. Meaning, he can just walk in while the band in doing just fine all night whether he comes ou that night or not, and he will get up and set the place on fire...with my help one evening, of course. So Saturday night it's Jon, Ethan(old friend of Jon's back in Boston here training), Lorenzo(Half Italian, half french, half crazy and hilarious), Sam(American who owns several used books stores in Southeast Asia, totally crazy and hilarious), and many Thai ladies. We were at Easy Rider, the biker bar that Jon sings at, and after a while he got on stage. well I followed shortly and Jon had one of the guys give me their guitar and our set was something like this: (Take Me Home)Country Roads No Woman No Cry Wish You Were Here Rockin' In The Free World Johnny B. Goode I could be missing something, but there was some fantastic banter between Jon and I in between songs. After that we went to Chohk Dee(Good Luck Bar) where Jon did some Thai duets with a gorgeous girl whose name literally translates to "Cucumber". I have some great pics of that as well as Jon and I blown the roof off Easy Rider...Thank you Sam, Thank you. PHUKET!!! oh yeah and I went to Koh Phi Phi...amazing. And Halloween at Patong Beach with Jon and the guys...retarded. What am I leaving out...OH yeah, I meet Dave Mustane, frontman of Megadeth, and very much formerly of Metallica at the Bangkok airport two weeks ago. No one there new who he was, plus you could barely see his face. We were both changing money and I recognized his voice. The guy actually wanted to talk. It was very cool. I just arrived in Chaing Mai and am going on a three day trek tomorrow. Peace. Sunday, October 28th "No one has gotten a handjob in Cargo shorts since 'Nam" Well If you didn't know already the title of this e-mail is a quote from Superbad...I FINALLY SAW IT!!! How is that possible you say? It's thanks to all the bootlegs of movies they provide over here in Asia. There are many places here in Thailand that show movies all day and night while you eat/drink. Well thanks to the rain, I caught up on The Simpsons Movie, Knocked Up and of course, Superbad. All were great, but the last two mentioned were far superior(Sorry Simpsons fans, It was great, but KU and SB had me laughing twice as much.) Oh yeah by the way, I was the f'n Full Moon Party!!! The Full Moon Party...mmm...Let's see...Glow sticks, Shitty Tatoos and enough Techno to melt the polar ice caps. Yeah, that's it folks, you are not missing much. But don't get me wrong, I had fun. Buckets of Sam Song Whiskey, tons of cool people from all over the world(90% Westerners), and the most people I have every seen on one beach. I'm talking THOUSANDS of people on one beach, Fire works, fire eaters...Hey wait a second the Full Moon Party was Freakin' Awesome!!! I had dinner before the party with a couple that I had not seen since Cambodia(Michel from France and Lu Ling from China, They meet traveling and have been together ever since). Thanks to getting everyone's e-mail along the way, they read my last e-mail and hit me back letting me know we were both in the same place. Supercool! Lu Ling taught me some Chinese and said that my pronouciation was perfect. It is starting to leave me now, so I better run into some chinese people. I am now on the island of Samui and I like it much more. Maybe becuase it has been sunny here all day, where Pha Ngan was still shitty when I lefty early this morning. Oh and My room here is 10 times better than my bungalow over there and I am only paying 100 Baht more($3). Even though there is a Mcdonald's, Subway, Pizza Hut, Burger King and TWO Starbuck's over here...It is better. The beach is nicer, and again the sun has been out all day. Tomorrow night I am headed to a "ring- side" evening(only $6 more than the cheap seats)of not 1, not 2, not 3...but 7 Thai Boxing matches. Badass! -Mclovin Seth: "Breast reduction!?!, That's like slapping God in the face for giving you a georgous gift" Evan: "Yeah but now that she can jog comfortably she's in the best shape of her life..." -SB Thursday, October 25th "Sawaedee" I am Back in Thailand. But first, lets recap the rest of Viet Nam. Ha Long Bay was amazing. We saw caves, kayaked, saw more islands than I can count and enjoyed some serious relaxation. The relaxing turned into a serious party once the crew on the boat broke out the Vietnamese moonshine after dinner. They were dead set on sharing that stuff with everyone. My Junk(Boat) had 14 people not counting crew. A middle aged German couple, an older couple from Australia, two French couples, a couple of Danish guys, a Japanese Guy named "I'm a Ninja and I'll kick your ass"Yoshi, myself, and a couple from Holland named Tim and Melenie(she sang and played some great guitar that night) who actually lived in Hanoi and had told me to get a hold of them when I got back to Hanoi. I think everyone had a few shots of the moonshine, esspecially the Captian(he loved my LJ hat and wouldn't let me have it back) who was puking out the window but never lost his smile. Well I had been playing guitar all night and in the middle of it all a song came out called "the Captian's Drunk", go figure. Everyone on the boat was singing along. EVERYONE stayed up late hang out together on the top deck, it was a great party. Another highlight was when one of the Danish guys went to piss off the egde and fell three decks off the boat in to the water. We couldn't stop laughing about it the rest of the night. The next day I hiked up a peak at the national park on Cat Ba Island, Hung on the beach and stayed at the nicest hotel yet(which was included in the cheap package deal I bought for the 3days/2 nights tour of Ha Long Bay). The next day I jumped on a different boat with different group to return to port, where I ran into a couple from Australia that I shared a cab with from the Hanoi airport a few days before. CRAZY. Great reunion. The day before I left Hanoi I called Tim and Melenie. Tim meet me in the afternoon and took me to "Beer Corner". This tiny intersection, which is one of the many things that added to the charm of Hanoi, had tiny plastic chairs and even smaller stools to set your beer on. Two of the four corners were as full as possible with tourist and locals drinking in front of these places serving the beer. Well the next thing you know the people working at these places start freaking out because the cops were coming around the corner, and I guess these people occupy too much of the street with the poeple they serve. It was like a high school party for a second (in a sort of a whisper)"Cops, Cops, Cops...". So they make almost everyone stand up so they can clear all the proper amout chairs out of the street so they don't get busted. Hilarious. There was no inside to sit at these places serving the beer, so everyone was knee to knee on the stoop until the cops left. After that Tim and I headed back to he and Melenie's place to meet Mel and go out for dinner. We joined or should I say taken out by a freind of Mel's that she met in a chess clb here in Hanoi named Huy. Well thanks to going out with Huy, we were treated to the best Vienamese food I had had yet. Bun bo(noodles with beef, peanuts, carrots, and fresh ginger) and gio(pork"tamale" wrapped in banana leaves). SO DAMN GOOD. We were joined by Huy friend Nam, and later at a bar, joined by Mel's friend Thuy(the coolest Vietnamese girl in the world). I learned a great lesson that night. ALWAYS have my ipod on me. I have been telling everyone about The Wagon and MMIH, but not everyone has had a chance to listen to it. That night I had my ipod on me, so everyone was able to here our music. Nam couldn't stop listen to "Jack the Peddler". So last night, back here in Thailand, Everyone I went out with last night got to rock out to The Wagon. Johnny and his girlfriend Poppy from Australia, and Jeff from Canada(we all meet on the ferry ride), and my self had a blast. My favorite part of the night was watching Poppy dance around listening to "Waiting". She could get enough of it and new all the words by the end of the night...so cool. Well If you will excuse me the Full Moon Pre-Pre-Pre Party is about to start here on Ko Pha Ngan, and I don't want to let these people down. -S Friday, October 19th "The Wagon in Hanoi" I am sitting at my hotel in Hanoi where there are rocking out to MMIH. It has been a hit everywhere I go with locals and foreigners alike. I sent copies off with the French, Aussies, Canadians, Germans, as well as some lucky locals here in Southeast Asia. Viet Nam has been great. Saigon(Ho Chi Min City) for a few days where I saw many sights such as the Pagodas in Chinatown, Ho Chi Min Museum and KFC. I also saw the War Reminants Museum(formerly called the American War Crimes Museum). Man was that a treat...ahh...yeah. As if I didn't already know, but we Americans sure caused some serious damage over here. After that I went to play pool for the second night at the GO2 bar where I ran into this great Aussie family. They were out looking for a place to try out dog, and had no luck. So we were all all hungry and craving another type of animal...cow!mmm...cow. We went out to a great steak dinner(apps at a different place before that) and had a blast. The moment I split up from them I meet the Plaa sisters from Canada and went out drinking with them till dawn. Hi-Five! The next day I continued on to the small mountain town of Dalat, where I saw waterfalls, ate coffee fruit at a coffee plantation(thats right folks, the coffee bean comes from INSIDE the fruit, WOW!), saw the biggest ,"happiest" Buddha yet at Elephant Waterfall, plus a lot more including a visit to this crazy house simply called "The Crazy House". From there I headed to the beach in Mui Ne where I drank buckets of rum and blazed at a beachside bar called "WAX" with two couples from Ireland(one of them was German), and a great guy form Sydney Named Mic, or is it spelled Mike and pronounnced "Mick"? I don't know. Good times with a great group. I returned to Siagon and had dinner with a Polish girl I meet on the bus named Eva at a place called "Good Morning Vietman"(a very good Italian joint, actually). My new friend Mic just happen to get into Saigon that night, and walk in to the same place for dinner. Crazy randomness once again. He joined Eva and I and we all a great meal together. By the way I am eating PLENTY of Vietnamese food and it's cheap and delicious. I flew from Saigon to Hanoi today, and will be leaving in the morning for a three day tour around Ha Long Bay. After that...IT'S BACK TO THAILAND!!! But first I will spend three days and two nights at one of the most beautiful sights, so I am told, in the world...Ha Long Bay. Let's see if I can get the Junk(the Boat)to blast some MMIH as well. -S www.wagonmusic.com www.myspace.com/shagginwagon The Wagon LLC P.S. you got to read this posting on the wall(click downloads)at Le Pub in Saigon. Hysterical. Whatever day it is, October 12th "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING VIETNAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!" I am proud to announce that The Wagon is now available thorughout the globe via Itunes,as well as many many other mediums. Match Made in Hell is on the brink of hitting German radio(they contacted us), and can be become all yours at the click of a button. Here are a few of the follow providers: http://cdbaby.com/cd/wagon2 http://payplay.fm/wagon2 http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/2253493 And yes...I am in Viet-Fuckin'-Nam! Although It is not morning anymore...but who cares...GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING VIETNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!! I arrived last night to the worst rain I have been in yet. My travel companion and now good friend, Nele, asked me to stay with her until she meet up with her contact. His name is Phong(pronounced Fong). She knew him through work AND through old friends in Beligum...of course, staying with her was not a problem. Well we ended up in the same bar that he was waiting for her and he invited me back to his house to join him and his family for dinner. I said "Thank you"and said "But, I will be moving on to find a place to stay." He and insisted and I agreed. Phong is Vietnamese, but spent 20 years of his life in Beligum, hence the one of the connections between him and Nele. After checking into my room through a river of rain, The three of us head to he, his wife and 1 1/2 year old's place in an up and coming part of Saigon(a.k.a Ho Chi Min City). Phong is an interior designer so his place was...incredible. He mainly designs for large business buildings, but after all this was HIS home. His son, Tim, was great, and his wife, Diem(pronnonced, 'iem) was as beautful as she was a hostess. We drank a couple of bottles of wine that complemented a shrimp cocktail starter(with fry sauce as dressing, you people who have been to Utah know what I am talking about,), followed by clam steamers with pan roasted garlic and twiced baked stuffed crabs. Then came a huge plate of steamed shrimps. FOLLOW BY four huge prawns(I was calling them lobster because they were the size of California lobster.). Then came a desert of local fruits which names I can't remember...WOW. Say it backwards...WOW. Best meal, hands down, of the whole trip. And what a family. I have had a lot of great food along the way, but I don't think anything will top that. Even more importantly, because of the company. So eat some seafood, pick up MMIH on-line, and rock out to your hearts content. -S www.wagonmusic.com www.myspace.com/shagginwagon The Wagon LLC p.s. Silnoukville was amazing Saturday, October 5th "If you don't turn this crap down, I am going to kill everone on this bus and put a bullet in my head." So the buses are cheap here right? Right. Bathroom? great! Air-conditioning? Sign me up!!! BUT The one thing they don't tell you is the there is a TV with a stereo system that you have no control over. And I heard that all most every bus in Cambodia is like this. It started off with a show about three older Cambobian guys drinking beer and shooting the shit. Then they split up and continue on with their day, where they each hit on a younger woman the just happen to bump in to. Then when they get home to their wives, and it's the third degree about "where have you been?" and "stop eating all the fish heads." and god knows what, after all...they are speaking Cambodian! And it goes on and on with differnt couple arguing at a time and the TV is so loud. This show was funny for a lttle while, and then the good stuff started. Cambodian...music...videos. Nothing but whiny bastards crying in their coffee because she is "with that other guy", or brick walls covered in "her" picture that he can't stand to look at, but continues to add more pictures until the end when he rips them all down...while crying. AND IT WAS SO LOUD! ohh, ohh, ohh, and the dvd...consantly skipping and bre..ak..k..ing...u...p. The female music videos were equally as whiny, but more tolerable for obvious reasons. Then and it changes from music videos to this "Martin and Lewis-esqe" comedy troop on stage and all the guys had big fake mustaches on, even the guy dressed like "Fat Elvis". It was horrible. What happened after the comedy troop? THE SAME SET OF MUSIC VIDEOS! AGAIN! AND IT WAS SO F'N LOUD! AGAIN! It was loud the WHOLE time. A quick side note, I have been traveling for the past week with this great girl from Belgium named NE(don't call me Nelly)LE. Pronounced Ne-La. We meet on the bus from the border and it turns out we had the same route planned out. SO, her and I are trying to drown out this annoying situation by turning our MP3 players up all the way but it was only so long before all you could hear was the damn TV. We both just became slap happy and started laughing uncontrolably about the situation. Other people on the bus, even what seemed to be locals, were showing the same signs of "I can't take this shit anymore". But none the less it makes for a great story. And then we get in to Phnom Phen where the "Tuk-Tuk" are literally clibing on the bus to get your business. but that is another story all together. In all fairness, Cambodia is AWESOME. Siem Reap...loved it. I ate a "happy" pizza and walked around an amazing temple in town where they were having a bi-monthly celebration. I heard the music and wandered in to find I was the only westerner to stumble upon it. A local came up to me curious about what part of the west I was from. I then asked if it was o.k. that i was hanging out, and he assured me that I was more than welcome. I took a picture of him and his son, then one of me and his son, and then next thing I know had half a dozen kids around the age of 5 or 6, wanting there picture take. They were great. After every picture I took the would run to see the shot on the viewfinder of my camera, then giggle and scream, and then got back in front of me for another pose. This went on and on and I loved it. Such amazing poeple here in Cambodia. And the three days Nele and I spent at Angkor Wat and all the other temples...speechless. Ohh and the Floating Village, super cool, I got to drive the tour boat. Well after seeing the S-21 prison and "the Killing Fields" here in Phnom Phen, which I really can't write about, I am ready for some uplifting downtime. We are heading for the beach in Sihnoukville. I hear it is beautiful. How are we getting there? By bus of course! They rule over here! -S Sunday, September 30th "Happy Ending" Well Folks, It has been a loooong time since I have sent out an update on The Wagon and rightly so because we all have been very busy. With what? Well getting "Match Made in Hell", OUR NEW ALBUM, out to all of you around the world. That's right, the album is out and about and slowly but surely getting into the hands of The Wagon Army. It will soon be available to all world-wide via cdbaby.com and itunes, as well as selected record stores in the southwest of the U.S.A.. So, in the mean time, we have four of the eleven songs available on Myspace for download...FREE!!! Go to our Myspace to get the newest in new (and couple "oldies but goodies" that graduated to the next class in the school that is rock!). So, why did I call this email "Happy Ending"? Because I have just recently land in the far east that is Indochina! I got into Bangkok, Thailand on Wednesday at one in the morning and caught a cab with another "round-eye" who was going to that same part of town. So I says to the guy, "Where ya from in the states?" and he says "Flagstaff, AZ". So I laughed "You got to be shitting me!". Turns out that Mr. Matt "Axl" Foley and I were there the sametime and he had seen The Wagon more than once back in the shaggin' day. So the next thing he says is "Do you know a guy named Darin Bergman?(anyone reading this who has lived in Flagstaff at all from '96 until present is rolling in hysterics right now)" and of course I say, "Yep!". Needless to say, Unfuckingbelievable!. What are the chances!!! So Matt(Who is here to teach english in the north for 6 months) and I partied our ass as off in Bangkok, Meet all kind of locals including one named Ann who I gave a copy of "Match Made in Hell". She loved it so much that the next night she took Matt and I to a Blues Bar where she knew everyone. She introduced me to the owner, and he asked me to jam with them. I played Blues harp on one song and shredded some guitar on two other songs. The whole band was amazing including this Thai woman who sounded like a cross between Aretha and Janis. They played everything from Muddy Waters to Joe Walsh. It was great. Oh did I mention the whiskey fused with emphedamines?...wow. d'lish. So I arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia last night(After performing a mini-concert at the Cambodian Border while waiting for the bus on my new guitar that I got for $28 in Bangkok. I had like thirty people surrounding me after the first song)and today, I received my first massage of the trip. And since I had waited so long to get one of the many cheap rub-downs I will recieve over my trip, I got TWO girls to beat me up. That right for just a few dollars more you can go from a regular massage to "Four-handed massage(2 ladies)" WOW. These two little Cambodian chicks nearly knocked me out between the combo of relaxation and ass-kicking. And was I happy at the end?...shit yeah! but not that kind of happy, at least...not yet. -S www.wagonmusic.com www.myspace.com/shagginwagon The Wagon LLC Monday, August 6th Great show last Thursday everyone, thanks for all the support for our last San Diego show till the winter time.
