That's right everyone it has been a year since there has been a Wagon show. Technically it was a Help !m Alive show, but who is counting. Although The Wagon does not play much anymore and Help !m Alive is no more, there is something new in the works.

Paul Moffat, who was with The Wagon when it was still "Shaggin", Danny Katz(SW founding member)and myself have been working on new material for a private event in January. Enter Boldbird. Our old friend Brad Byrge and his band Boldbird are coming through San Diego and heard we were putting something new together. He asked us to open up for him and we gladly accepted. Our new material is limited at this point so plan on crackin' a PBR to "Summer Gold" and busting a move to "Lower Case g". There is no name at his point for the new band. Suggestions?

In other news, be sure to check out Quinn's band William's Ink who has just released their first full length album. And Rex is staying busy as usual playing with 10 or 12 different bands. Here are a few of them:

Greetings sports fans!!! We hope everyone had a kick-ass summer. Fall is in full effect(Except here in San Diego where summer has FINALLY showed up...)and we are excited to tell you all about some new music! 

Quinn has recently made his homebase in Denver, CO., and has been hard at work in the
new Los Conchas studio he has built. He is also playing with some locals in a new band called William's Ink. Go check out Quinn's new project!!!

It is a historical week for The Wagon. Quinn, Rex and Myself will reunite on stage Thursday night for the first time in nearly a year to rock a stellar set of tunes. Before that, Paul, Rex and Myself will play a opening set from our new band," Help !'m Alive". And at the end of the night, We will have a SHAGGIN WAGON REUNION SET, Featuring Quinn, Myself, Danny Katz on Drums/Vocals, Mike Barrett on Harmonica/Vocals, and Paul Moffat on Bass/Vocals. The Wagon is proud to announce that we have recently signed our first international publishing deal. Platinum Music, based in the United Kingdom, has pick up "Blueberry Sue" off the Match Made in Hell album. We are extremely excited about the prospects.We look forward to when we are placed in our first commercial, TV show or for whatever else Platinum Music decides to use the many different edits that now exist of "Sue".

We are also excited to share that we have been selling ring tones for songs like "The Rocker" and "Kolonopin". "Chopped n' Screwed", Surprisingly, has sold dozens and dozens of ring tones. Who knew?!?

Finally, We are happy to inform the masses that will be heading back into the studio in June, and can't wait to get the new songs together. "2009...in the end, it's really all worth it..."

I hope everyone has been enjoying the Olympics as much as us here in San Diego. We had the highest amount of viewers in the entire country back on 8-8-08, and I am sure we are still up there somewhere in overall viewing. Everywhere I go, people young and old are talking about it. As they should, right? This only happens every 4 years! China is still in the lead with the most gold metals(7 more than us at the moment), but all I can say to that is this: Michael Phelps is a golden god. He is currently the greatest Olympian ever with the most gold medals won by an individual in the history of the games. He might have a funny little speech impediment, but man can that guy swim. GO USA!!!

"It's already the 4th?". People young and old, I find life is moving faster for all of us. Yes '08 is half way over and the time continues to fly. Some organizations are already talk about "The best of '08" and I'm thinkin' "People! It's only July!" Well we all know how it goes and before you know it, there will be Christmas ads all over the place. Slow down! We still have the better half of the summer coming, the freakin Olympics and a presidential election on top of that!
As far as The Wagon is concerned, we have been having our most successful year to date. A triumphant tour in the winter/spring that covered over 7000 miles, rave reviews of Match Made in Hell, and a landmark 4th of July show at Winston's...which is tomorrow night!!! We are extremely excited and thanks to the people at Winston's, there were stacks of free tickets for the show being given away at the O.B. Street Fair last Saturday. Awesome. This also marks our first show in O.B. since the release of M.M.I.H., So we will be celebrating that and will be giving away free copies of M.M.I.H. and End of Summer throughout the night to many lucky people.

We start at 9:30pm after the fireworks and will be playing until 11pm. We love you all hope to see you there!!!

We are also pround to announce our first show since tour. we will be playing a benefit at the Tavern in Pacific Beach on Saturday, June 14th. The Event kicks off a 12 noon and goes until 6pm. We will be playing sometime between 2-4pm. We are happy to kick off the summer supporting a good cause.
